Submit Film

The 2023 Submission portal is CLOSED! Thank you for sharing all of your hard work. We had a fun but very difficult time whittling down to the final lineup and are excited to present the films to you in the spring of 2023. Thanks, The F3T

Calling all anglers, filmmakers, storytellers, and folks from all walks of life; we want to share your fishing stories on the big screen. For the 2023 tour, we are looking for a very diverse lineup to represent all of the people, species, places, story types, and more that make up the amazing fly fishing community. We look forward to hearing from you about the projects you are working on along the way.

Rough cuts submissions are due NOVEMBER 30th but we’ll look at what you’ve got at any point along the creative process.

**Remember to take High-Res, still photos during your film shoot for marketing purposes.

November 30th – Rough Cut Submission Due. — This should be your basic film in length and structure but it does need not be the polished final product. For selected films, that will be due by the end of November. If you still need to license music, add graphics, etc. that’s ok. But be sure to include a description of what changes you plan to make (if any) between submission and finished film. You can include your notes on your Vimeo/YouTube/etc. video page in the description/notes/comments section as we will look for the notes there.

December 21st – Notification of Selection Status. — We will do our best to notify all submitting filmmakers of their selection status on or before this date.

January 5th (If selected) – Trailer Due — Max 3 minutes. Less is more.

February 2nd (If Selected) – Completed Final Film Due. With music licenses, actor releases, final color mix, final sound mix, etc. Any film selected that cannot be fully delivered by this date may be removed from selection.

All entrants must upload their film to a password protected Vimeo or YouTube page and fill out submission fields to the right. Only electronic online submissions will be considered and/or accepted. If selected you may be asked to provide your film on a physical drive.
