FLY FISHING FILM TOUR 2024
The 18th annual FLY FISHING FILM TOUR – the F3T – has kicked off for another season with its world premiere event in Bozeman, Montana, on January 20th. The premiere, held at the Emerson Theatre, was enjoyed by a packed house of fly fishing lovers who clapped and cheered to this year’s film line up.
This year’s tour is co-presented by COSTA as well as local Bozeman technical apparel company SKWALA who both attended the event along with a host of other 2024 partners including Sawyer Oars, Turtlebox, Greys, Daiichi and other local partners delivering a local expo for the crowds before and after the show.
The screening was attended by a host of special guests including filmmaker Tyler Soares and angler Lael Johnson who joined the F3T team on stage to talk about their film VISIBILITY which was a crowd favourite on the night.
Audience members were also treated to more than $5,000 worth of prizes given away at the show, plus free Richardson F3T custom hats and Stonefly magazines.
Bozeman marks the start of the annual Fly Fishing Film Tour, with the F3T roadcrew now on the road for more than 100 nights visiting more than 30 towns with screenings throughout the USA. The national tour culminates in Florida in April. As well as the F3T’s own road trip, independent hosts conduct more than 200 screenings across North America, before the tour travels across Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France and other locations.
Toby Ryston-Pratt, CEO of Adventure Entertainment, producers of the F3T, said
“With well over 300 shows globally, the F3T is the single largest fly fishing event in the world. The tour itself is truly unique combining an incredible road trip led by our team of anglers, Cooper Nash, Scott Battista and John Zynda, community run shows and international tours. We are thrilled to share this year’s films and inspire anglers young and old across the world.”
