In “Going Upriver”, Portland Fly Shop owner and full-blown steelhead obsessive Jason Osborn reflects on carving his own path in a sport steeped in tradition, exploring identity, individuality, and the challenges of finding yourself both on the river and in life.
BROOD XIV: THE LAST HATCH
The film follows two local anglers, Seth Fields and Chase Pritchett, on their journeys to chase the fleeting periodical cicada hatch; and experience epic top water carp action. It’s a race against the clock, the weather, and missing out on life’s precious moments. Brood XIV is the last hatch for over a decade in their region, so they’ve got to soak up every second they can while these bugs last. The anxiety of whether their sacrifice will pay off looms heavy on their minds.
